The challenge

Blue Planet Foundation was founded by the former President of Hungary to support a more sustainable future for the next generations. XO.company was hired to design and execute a unique, full-stack while-label innovation program targeting startups from the V4 countries (Czechia, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia) with solutions that are addressing sustainability issues. The project required scouting, managing the entire application and selection process, and organizing a 3-day-long Bootcamp in Budapest with full responsibility for the budget and the professional content.

The solution

XO.company provided strategy consultation to Blue Planet Foundation, then designed and executed a unique white-label competition and a competition framework, powered by its market knowledge, relevant network, proprietary IT software, and reputation, followed by a 3-day-long BootCamp in Budapest for the winners, with full responsibility of the budget, content, communication, travels, and accommodation.

The result

Over 300 nominations were achieved, and through the selection process, the 10 highest ranked startups with the focus areas of food waste, water management, energy efficiency, transportation, and waste management, were invited to the BootCamp in Budapest to learn about recruitment, marketing, and sales from globally recognized, practicing experts from the market. The selected startups also earned a special exhibition opportunity at the Planet Budapest Sustainability Expo and Summit.
